Dog Toys......Let's Play!

Your small dog can get hours of enjoyment from his or her dog toys.
Of course, there are tons to choose from out there.

The most important thing to remember about buying your dog toys is that they must be safe and fun. You should look out for any small pieces that can be chewed off and swallowed. Always cut off tags and tag holders and any loose strings.

Most dogs love to play with toys, and all of the dos that I know, have a favorite. Toys are available at Pet Super Stores, The Internet, Department and Discount Stores and even at the Super Market.

Many toys fall under one of the following categories:

  • Soft Plush Toys – like stuffed animals
  • Rope or Pull Toys
  • Rubber Toys – great for big time chewers
  • Retrieving Toys
  • Balls – endless fun for most dogs
  • Squeaking/Grunting Toys
  • Flying Discs – like Frisbees and nylon discs
  • Canvas Chew Toys
  • Puzzle/Interactive Toys – the type you can hide a treat in
  • Wooly/Terry Toys

Playing with your small dog is an important part of each day. Toys are great because you can either interact with your dog or he can play it alone.
